Privacy Statement The Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: www.cfca.org. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.

IP Address

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information.

Registration Form

Our site’s registration form may require users to give us contact information (like their name and email address), financial information (like their credit card numbers), and demographic information (like their zip code). We use user contact information from the registration form to send the user information about our organization. Membership information is used in accordance with the membership agreement and bylaws. The member’s contact information is also used to contact the member when necessary. A member’s name and email address is also available to all other members in a contact list in a password-protected area. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products and services ordered. Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. Links This site contains links to other sites. CFCA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Payment/Financial information such as your credit card number, expiration date, and csv/security code is passed to our payment gateway (Stripe) to process your purchase. Stripe’s privacy statement can be found here ://stripe.com/en-gb/privacy  CFCA do not store any financial or payment information.

Membership information. CFCA website has functionality for members to store profile information.  This is optional, but can include photo, job title, social media links, profile information, location, as well as subscriptions to the website forums. This is under the control of the member.

Inherently, CFCA Membership stores First Name, Last Name and email of the individual member as well as the head office address of the Member company for the collaboration function to work within the website.

Partner

Our site is developed, hosted and maintained by a third party who has access to all information on this site. This “Powered by” partner is responsible for maintaining the privacy described in this statement. The third party retains no rights or privileges associated with the information (i.e. cannot distribute, sell, exchange the information collected)

Forums

This site makes forums available to its members. The web site has a “members only” (password protected) forum. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas will not become public information and is only shared amongst the CFCA members with access to the website.

Member Profiles

As part of the website’s feeatures is to allow members who have access and signed into the password protected member zone to search fellow members, where information such as Name, Email Address, Company Name, Date of Membership, etc. maybe displayed and individual’s membership profiles can be viewed.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The physical devices running this site are located in a secure facility. A high-strength firewall protects our database from outsiders. Access to many areas of our site is password protected. We use 256-bit encrypted Secure Socket Layers (SSL) to encrypt sensitive data you send us. All credit card transactions are handled by a reputable third party banking and processing institution (Stripe www.stripe.com). They receive the information needed to verify and authorize a customer’s credit card and process the order.

SSL Certificate and Firewall

We use the latest 256-bit Encryption SSL certification with Dynamic Site Seal displayed on the site and contains information about the current date and time of page loading. This allows to understand that the Site Seal image is valid and not expired.  CFCA use Wordfence Firewall on their website and includes an endpoint firewall and malware scanner and constantly fed with the newest firewall rules, malware signatures and malicious IP addresses it needs to keep the website safe.

 

Choice/Opt-Out

Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor. This site gives users the following options for removing their information from our database so as to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our service.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our web site so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. Users may have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner or to opt-out of the website where all information on the individual will be permanently deleted.
