Dana Bruce Berry, CCSP 1956 – 2021
The CFCA sadly announces that Dana Bruce Berry, passed away on Thursday, November 11th, 2021.
She was born in Lafayette, GA on January 9th, 1956, to Lelia Elizabeth (Clary) Davis, and Lloyd Richard Davis, Sr. as the third of four children. Dana taught high school English, Theater, Speech, and Debate, then worked as a paralegal for the public defender’s office, before ultimately becoming a pioneer in the telecommunications fraud management industry. Dana literally wrote the book on telecommunications fraud prevention. Dana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education, an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, and a Master’s in Organizational Management.
Dana was heavily involved in the CFCA in the late nineties and was on the CFCA board from 2000 to 2011 serving as President in 2000 and between 2006 and 2008 and vice president and secretary for many years. Dana contributed considerably to the CFCA and its initiatives for well over a decade.
She was a devoted Episcopalian who dedicated much of her time to church activities including singing in the choir, helping with children’s programs, and serving on the vestry. She loved volunteering with local theater groups, listening to and singing music, watching movies with family and friends, and reading. Most of all Dana loved being “Muggle” to her three granddaughters. Dana was an amazing mother to not just her own daughter, but to many people whom she loved as her own.
A celebration of life service will be officiated by the Rev. Canon Dr. Helen Van Koevering on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Saint Raphael the Archangel Episcopal Church, 1891 Parker’s Mill Rd, Lexington, KY 40504. For those who can’t attend in person, the service will be live-streamed and available on:

Interment will occur at a later date in the column barium at Saint Raphael’s.
