Join Somos to learn about two exciting new ways to stop unwanted and fraudulent calls: the RND and DNO.
Discover the What, Why, How, When, and Where of the Reassigned Numbers Database (RND). For those not familiar, the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) RND was developed to prevent consumers from getting unwanted calls intended for someone who previously held the individual’s phone number. Callers can use the database to determine whether a telephone number may have been reassigned so that they can avoid calling consumers with unwanted calls. The RND is the only comprehensive source for disconnect data on all North American Numbering Plan numbers as all service providers that receive NANP resources are required to submit disconnect data every month. Parties that conduct outbound calling/texting that use the RND could reduce their potential Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) liability by avoiding inadvertent calls to consumers who have not given consent for the call.
Learn about Somos’ latest Authentication Enablement Solution – RealNumber Do Not Originate (DNO). RealNumber DNO is an effective solution for combatting fraudulent activity and spoofed phone calls. Specifically, the platform allows Responsible Organizations (Resp Orgs) to identify TFNs that do not originate calls, thus helping to prevent calls from illegitimate numbers to be passed on to the recipient caller AKA the customer. As of current, the RealNumber DNO database contains over 28M records, which includes a combination of Resp Org identified numbers and TFNs that are not in an active status.
